However, cardholders who do not like to track categories when they shop will find the TD First Class Visa Credit Card quite limiting if they care about rewards. Otherwise, the card offers a good but not great deal when compared with similar rewards cards. You should also bear in mind that the rewards earned on this credit card are not transferable to other cards or partner programs.

Advantages
Let’s take a look at the advantages of this card and see if it’s the right one for your wallet or not.
- Decent Signup Bonus
This card offers you a signup bonus of 25,000 miles on $3,000 spent in first 6 cycles. The steps required to earn this bonus are very straightforward and can be attained easily if you spend a lot.
- Low APR
At 17.49% variable, the annual percentage rate of the TD First Class Signature Credit Card is quite attractive. It is a much better deal than the 15-17% average offered by most credit card companies.
- Zero Liability
You are not held responsible for unauthorized charges to your account processed by Visa. This protects you from liability if your card is ever stolen or used fraudulently. You are required to report any unauthorized use to TD Bank immediately.
- Miles Reward
TD First Class Visa Signature Credit Card specially rewards you for spending on travels and dining. You get 3X First Class miles on travel and dining purchases and 1X First Class miles on all other purchases. These airline miles, valued at one mile a cent, can be spent on travel and dining purchases.
Miles may be redeemed as statement credits or direct deposit when you accrue up to 2,500. Your airline miles have no expiration date and are valid for as long as your account remains open and stays in good standing.
- No Foreign Transaction Fee
Unlike many other credit card issuers, this card does not charge any fee for foreign transactions. Not having to pay foreign transaction fees when you travel outside the US or make international purchases can be a great advantage.
This could help you save a dollar or two, which can add up quickly if you do this often.
Disadvantages
Let’s take a look at the disadvantages of this credit card and see if it’s the right one for your wallet or not.
- Annual Fee
The $89 (waived first year) is high when you consider other rewards cards which charge less than this and offer comparable, sometimes better, benefits.
You have to spend at least $2,967 on travel and dining or $8,900 on other purchases to earn enough rewards to offset the impact of your annual fee on this card.
- Rewards Are Not Transferable
The miles earned on the TD First Class Visa Signature Credit Cards cannot be transferred to other loyalty programs.
This puts it behind many other credit cards which allow the transfer of rewards to partner programs.
- 0% Intro Only on Balance Transfers
Interests will not be charged on any balance you transfer from other credit cards within the first 12 cycles.
Since this introductory rate is limited to balance transfer, you may still be charged interests on purchases you make with your card if you don’t pay off your full balance by the due date each of month.

Is the TD First Class Card Right for You?
Making the most out of a TD First Class Visa Signature Credit Card requires you to spend, a lot. You also have to be strategic about how you do this since not all purchases carry equal rewards.
If you don’t travel much, earn a low income or are struggling with a poor credit score, you should look elsewhere for options more suited to your situation. If you have excellent credit and spend a lot on traveling, however, this card may be for you. This is a tailored travel rewards card and it does not offer much for any other type of user.
