While the Chase Disney Visa card may not offer the most generous rewards, it is a good pick for the ultimate Disney fans. Not only can you accumulate Disney Reward Dollars, but you can get discounts and access to exclusive events or promotions. You can even choose your card design from 10 options including classic Disney and modern favorites like the Mandalorian.
However, if you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck to save rewards for your next Disney vacation, you are likely to find that there are general rewards credit cards that offer far more points or cash back with each purchase. Some tiered category reward cards offer up to five points per dollar, so you can strategically plan your spending and get great rewards on all or most of your purchases.

What are card income requirements?
There are no official income requirements for this card, but you do need to have good to excellent credit. While income is a consideration, it is not the only factor that Chase will assess on your application.
Can I get pre-approved?
Chase does typically offer pre approval for its credit cards. You can log in as a customer or as a guest to check if you would qualify for the card. You may also receive a mailer with a pre approval offer.
How do I redeem rewards?
The redemption process is a little complicated as you need to get a reloadable redemption card. You can obtain this by visiting the DisneyRewards website or calling the customer helpline. You can then transfer your Disney Rewards Dollars to your card. You can have up to two redemption cards per account.
The first transfer requires a minimum of 20 Rewards Dollars and subsequent transfers have a 10 Rewards Dollar minimum. Once your transfer has been processed to your redemption card, you can use them at Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts.
You can also use them at Disney Stores, on Disney Cruise Lines and to pay for Disney, Star Wars or Pixar movies at AMC Theater locations.

This ìs limited to one session with characters per day, per cardholder, but it does include complimentary download of the photos.
- Disney Store Cardmember Events
As a cardmember, you can also enjoy special events at Disney store locations throughout the U.S. The passes are issued on a first come, first served basis, as the numbers are limited according to store capacity. Only one pass per card member is allowed.
- Discount on Disney on Broadway Shows
You can get a VIP package when you purchase premium tickets to select Disney on Broadway shows.
- 0% APR for Disney Vacations
When you book select Disney vacation packages on your card, you can enjoy a 0% APR promotional rate for six months.

- Choice of Card Designs
You can make a choice from a selection of 10 different Disney themed card designs for your new credit card. This includes Vintage Mickey, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Darth Vader, Toy Story and The Mandalorian.
- Below Average Rewards Rate
The reward rate of 1% for this card is far lower compared to many general flat rate cash back cards available on the market. There are a number of cards offering up to 2%, with some tiered category reward cards offering up to 5%.
If you want comparable rewards, you would need to upgrade to the Disney Premier Visa, which has an annual fee and offers up to 5% in Disney Rewards.
- Low Welcome Bonus
While the spending requirement is low, the welcome bonus is only $150 in statement credit. There are many other no annual fee credit cards that have a far more generous welcome bonus.
- Limited Redemptions
You can only redeem Disney Rewards Dollars for Star Wars or Disney purchases. The redemption process is quite complex and your rewards will expire after five years.
- Foreign Transaction Fee
Unusually for a travel related card, the Disney Visa has a 3% foreign transaction fee. While this is a fairly standard fee, it can add up to significant charges when you’re on a vacation.
- No Bonus Rewards
Although you can earn an unlimited 1% on your purchases, there are no bonus reward categories to increase your reward potential.
Who Should Consider The Disney Card?
This card is obviously a good option for keen Disney fans who regularly visit Disney resorts and stores. You can not only earn discounts on select purchases, but you can accumulate Disney Reward Dollars that you can use on your next vacation package. As an added bonus, you can get 0% APR financing for select Disney vacations when you pay with your card.
The card could also be a good fit if you aspire to enjoy a Disney vacation. The card has no annual fee and you can accumulate Disney rewards with up to five years before the rewards expire. This can be a great way to enjoy a discount on your vacation.
However, it is a good idea to compare the benefits of more general travel credit cards to check if this card offers the best reward options.
