Insurance Benefits: Chase Reserve vs. Venture X

Both cards offer similar insurance and protections, but the Chase Sapphire Reserve card's protections are broader than you can with the Venture X card and include protections such as emergency evacuation and transportation, emergency medical and dental benefit and roadside asistance

While Chase Sapphire Reserve coverage amounts are publicity published so customers can clearly understand what they can get with their protections, it's not the case with the Venture X card.

  • Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver: Decline rental company insurance, charge rental costs to your card, and get primary coverage up for theft and collision damage on rental cars worldwide.

  • Trip Cancellation / Interruption Insurance: Get reimbursed up to $10,000 per person and $20,000 per trip for prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses if your trip is canceled or interrupted due to covered reasons like illness or severe weather.

  • Trip Delay Reimbursement: If your travel is delayed by more than 6 hours or requires an overnight stay, you’ll be covered for eligible unreimbursed expenses, such as meals and accommodations.
